On-going event for AFL School Year Program students: STUDY HALL

Drop in any time to study hall and hone your strategies for tackling homework and managing long-term projects. You’ll have access to expert support from one of our staff while you’re here.

Open sessions are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 – 7:00.

On-going event for AFL School Year Program students:  STRATEGY ACADEMY

If you didn’t think learning strategies could be fun, you never met the wacky and wonderful Jess Curtin (“Professor J”). Join her and other kids your age, and practice putting strategies to work for tackling different parts of school and life. If the class of the month is focused on something we know you’d benefit from learning, we’ll send you a personal invitation.

Classes are held each month on Tuesdays.

  • 4:00 – 5:00 for students in grades K-5
  • 5:00 – 6:00 for students in grades 6-8
  • 6:00 – 7:00 for students in grades 9-12

On-going event for Parents of AFL School Year Program students: WEDNESDAY WEBINAR SERIES

Parents may log on to this web session each month at 12:00 noon to learn a number of strategies they can use to support their children at home. This is an easy way to grasp key concepts that influence learning and academic success.
