Our Services

Our Summer Individual Program provides students with expert 1:1 instruction. We tailor instruction to strengthen the skills, strategies, systems and/or habits students need for academic success in the following school year.   

Virtual Sessions

Individualized instruction may be provided in our office or virtually.  We request at least 24 hours advanced notice if you need to switch from an in-person session to a virtual format.

Please be sure your child uses a laptop or desktop computer for all virtual sessions.  Cell phones and iPads do not allow students to access the features of Zoom that we rely on for instruction.

If your child’s sessions are held virtually, please be sure they are set them up for success in a room that offers privacy, a table or desk to work at, a power cord for their laptop, and a stable internet connection. Virtual learning and face-to-face learning both require students to be in environments that are free of distractions and conducive to learning. 

Please note that our policy is to end a virtual session under the following conditions:

  • Students log in on a cell phone
  • Students are in a location that does not support virtual learning (e.g., a car, their bed, outside, in a public space or environment that is noisy and distraction-filled)
  • Students do not have a stable internet connection
  • A student’s laptop battery dies

In the event that we end a session early, you will be contacted by your child’s specialist.

Term

Our Summer Program spans from June 26 – September 1, 2023.

Either of us may terminate our relationship at any time. In the event of termination, you are obligated to pay for services provided.  

Fees and Payment

Tuition is $210 per hour for the Individual Program.   

Payment in advance is required. We accept payment in full by check or credit card. If you prefer, we accept payment in equal monthly installments, which will be charged to your credit card on the first Friday of each prior month.

Tuition for the Summer Program is non-refundable.

Missed Sessions/Cancellations

Should you need to cancel a scheduled session, please notify Tara Adams in our main office at least 24 hours in advance.  

The health of our staff and all of our families is important to us. If your child is not feeling well, we request that you keep your child home.  Please note that our policy is to end the session if students present as too ill to benefit from instruction.

We will make every effort to reschedule canceled sessions. However, our staff’s flexibility with scheduling is often significantly limited in the summer months, and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to make up missed sessions.

Insurance

We are primarily an academic organization and are not affiliated with any insurance companies. We do not bill insurance companies directly for our services. Individual sessions provided by a speech-language pathologist may be covered by your insurance if there is a diagnosis to support the nature of the services provided.  

Please check with your insurance company to determine whether such services are covered by your insurance plan.  

If our services are covered by insurance, you will be held responsible for payment, and we will provide you with a statement that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement after all services have been provided.
