| 2012-2013 School Year, Wednesdays 12:30 - 12:45 | On-going event for Parents of AFL School Year Program students: WEDNESDAY WEBINAR Parents may log on to this weekly 15-minute web session to learn about the various strategies we teach students. Each week, we introduce one strategy and offer suggestions for how parents may support their children at home. This is a quick and easy way to grasp some of the basic elements of EmPOWER, Brain Frames, and core academic strategies that set kids up for success. |
| Spring semester 2013 | On-going event for AFL School Year Program students: STRATEGY ACADEMY Drop in to this weekly class any time and to get help with getting in the right frame of mind for learning. Explore strategies for staying alert, paying attention, managing boredom, and calming your mind and body when you\'re in class. Class meets Mondays from 3:30 - 4:00. |
| Spring semester 2013 | On-going event for AFL School Year Program students: STUDY HALL Drop in any time to study hall and learn strategies for tackling your homework. Open sessions are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 - 7:00. |
