INDIVIDUAL INTERVENTION

Summer is a great time to strengthen skills without the extra burden of homework and after school commitments.  Over the summer months, we work with students to bolster critical literacy and learning skills and prepare them for the increased demands of the upcoming school year:
   - reading decoding
   - reading comprehension
   - spelling
   - written expression
   - executive functions
   - writing the college application
   - SAT prep
   - oral language
   - memory and study skills

Goals and skills addressed are individualized according to each student's specific needs.

To be sure that students have sufficient practice with learning and applying new skills and strategies, services are provided in required "blocks" of hours.

Students in grades K-6:  12 hour block

Students in grades 7-12:  16 hour block

Blocks are broken up into one-hour, 90-minute, or two-hour sessions (depending on the age and needs of each student). Sessions are spaced throughout the summer weeks.  Students have the option of adding more sessions to the required block of hours if they wish to receive more intensive instruction.  Tuition for the full block plus additional sessions (if requested) is due prior to the first session.

PLEASE NOTE:  Individual sessions are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.  We do our best to work around each family's scheduling constraints, but our clinicians' schedules do fill quickly.  We encourage you to book your child's sessions well in advance.
