Consultation Services
- Parent: Architects For Learning supports parents in understanding their children's needs and identifying appropriate instruction and evaluation services. If your child attends AFL's School Year Program, his or her specialist will consult with you on a regular basis to promote the carry-over of learned strategies to the home setting.
We
also offer stand-alone consultation to parents whose children are not
enrolled at AFL but who are seeking to better understand what their
children need, how to prioritize instruction or intervention services,
or how to help their children at home.
- School: We also are available to work with schools and provide specialized insight into what strategies may work best for children who may be struggling. This may include observing and providing recommendations, assisting with developing curriculum that accommodates various learning needs, and consulting to help develop effective IEPs or 504 Plans.
- Adult/Professional: We also provide consultation to adults who are seeking to understand how their strengths and weaknesses may be affecting their performance at work or elsewhere in their life. As appropriate, consultation may extend to the workplace or other relevant contexts where support, education, or advocacy may be warranted..
