Johnathan Carlos-Frick, M.Ed.                                                                        Educational Consultant

Johnathan earned his bachelor's degrees in Secondary Education and English from Salve Regina University and his Master's of Education in Language, and Literacy from Simmon's College.  He has 13 years of experience as a certified English teacher, working in public, private and independent schools at the middle and secondary levels developing and implementing educational programs designed to meet a broad cross-section of learning needs and styles. Johnathan has extensive experience in curriculum devleopment, behavior management, and mentoring students of all ages. He is particularly drawn to supporting students who are underperforming and working in partnership with teachers to develop differentiated curriculum that supports all learners. In recent years, he completed his training for certification as a reading specialist and is awaiting that award. He is certified in the Wilson reading method, Project Read, and the EmPOWER method for teaching expository writing. Johnathan believes strongly in fostering awareness of individual student's strengths and leveraging those strengths when tackling more challenging aspects of learning.
